A Professional, Family-Owned Service Company

Since its founding, Artistic Pools of Florida, Inc. has been a full service, family owned and operated, pool & spa solutions company.  From the family’s arrival to Clearwater from the Midwest over 45 years ago to the present, the owners have invested themselves in the community raising their children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren in the Tampa Bay area.

Their mission has been to work hard to promote tourism and improve residential life through expert pool & spa solutions and they have accomplished it well.  This success has led to strong growth which has given us the opportunity to bring other leaders into the company to further expand our service and product offerings.   Yet, the original founders remain at the heart of the company’s success and continue to be involved in its senior management.  While other pool company owners have come and gone, some selling out and others just fading away, the team of Artistic Pools of Florida remains as committed and as engaged as ever in providing the best possible service to our clients.

Now in our 43rd year in business, we look forward to the next 43 years with optimism, a commitment to quality solutions, and an appreciation for the opportunity we have been given to serve you.

I have been working with Fred Coffin (Artistic Pools of Florida) on several projects and have found him to be very straight forward, honest and thorough. Fred has consistently gone above and beyond to insure that he is offering the best product at a fair price and has been very easy to work with. Fred has been flexible when the occasion required it and has always done his best to meet our needs.  When one of my board of directors decided to redo the pool deck with a high end, beautiful stone product from the Dominican Republic called Coral Stone, Fred did a great deal of research and found a supplier at a much lower cost for the same product coming out of the same quarry.  We recently resurfaced a large pool at a waterfront property and Fred was on the job every day. He made sure that the workers provided us with exactly what we contracted for, that no corners were cut and that everything was done to code. The finished pool is a thing of beauty. I would not hesitate to use Fred on any pool or deck project as I know that he is going to provide the best products and best service available.

A Celebration of Our Founder, Ruth E. Evans

April 15, 2009. The incomparable Ruth E. Evans, 87, has passed away peacefully in her home in Clearwater, Florida. This rare gem and gentle spirit was surrounded by her loved ones and friends. Known to many as “Sunshine,” Ruth had a tremendous strength of character, a genuine passion for her family, an awesome faith in her Lord, an unwavering allegiance to the United States, and a truly remarkable commitment to her community. Born in Milford, Nebraska (near Lincoln), Ruth was the proud Welsh (Evans/Jones)-Irish (Mooney)-Scottish (Ward) daughter of her circuit preacher dad and school teacher mom who represented the best of Christian values. She was a devoted sister to each of her four brothers and to her sister. When she was very young, her family moved to Neenah, WI where she was raised and adored-earning the position of cheerleader captain for Neenah High School. Ruth chose to raise her own family in Neenah as well and had four daughters. She lead the local Girl Scout Troop and served as President of the PTA while working professionally for Kimberly Clark. During World War II, Ruth supported our troops by sewing uniforms for US Navy sailors departing from Whidbey Island, WA. In 1968, Ruth moved to Clearwater, Florida where she “retired” by owning and operating the exciting Island Queen Motel on Clearwater Beach’s Brightwater Drive and by founding Artistic Pools of Florida with her daughters and son-in-laws, whom she loved as if they were her own sons. Ruth worshiped and served for many years at Calvary Baptist Church led by her wonderful pastors, Bill Anderson and Dean Harlan. In the proud tradition of her father, she taught Sunday School and her Sunday donuts brought more than smiles to all. A resident of Top of the World for twenty years, Ruth served as President of the Mandalay Building and an American flag still flies outside on a flagpole donated by her family in dedication to this precious, one-of-a-kind lady. Ruth is survived by her 4 daughters including Barbie Gomez and Donna Drummond of Artistic Pools of Florida, her 9 grand children, and her 12 great-grand children. We are truly blessed and thankful that God created Sunshine to warm, protect, inspire, and show us the way. This strikingly beautiful gift will be enormously missed.
